Core Responsibilities: Be the Engine of Essential Service
As a professional HR Waste Truck Driver, you will be crucial to the team, prioritising safety and execution:

Drive the Rig: You'll be the expert behind the wheel of our modern Side Arm and Rear Loader trucks, getting into the groove of those daily residential runs, all while keeping it safe.

  • Know Your Route: Stick to the designated runs like a pro—it's how we keep the whole community happy with on-time, reliable service.
  • Team player: Work efficiently with your offsider and back them up whenever they need a hand—great teamwork makes the day run smoothly.
  • Safety First, Always: You're the safety champion. Follow all the rules, keep your eyes peeled for hazards, and report anything that looks out of order straight away.
Essential Requirements: Ready to Shift Gears?

We're only looking for the best behind the wheel, so here’s what’s mandatory to be considered:
  • Your Licence: You absolutely must have a current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence.
  • Driving Time: At least 6–12 months of solid, verified HR driving experience under your belt (if you've done waste before, that's a huge bonus, but not a dealbreaker).
  • Your Attitude: You're a safe worker, a team player, and ready to jump in and help the crew.
  • Physically Fit: You need to be able to handle manual handling, including lifting up to 30 kg safely.
  • Getting There: Reliable personal transport is a must to make those early starts at the depot.
  • Clear to Go: You need to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol test and a police check.
  • Your Record: You'll need to provide a current NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) driving history report.
Important Heads-Up on Pay:
Just so you know: the first two weeks are all about training and getting compliant on-site. During this essential time, you'll be paid at the offsider rate, and then your full HR Driver rate kicks in right after.
